According to the reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly be 79 mm wide, which points to the switch to a flat screen. It is highly doubtful that the bezels will truly widen, considering the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s curved edges give it a width of 78.1 mm. The Galaxy S23 Ultra had a curved design in its left and right corners, which most smartphones possess today. The advantage that the screen brings in particular is that the screen is completely flat, making it quite simple to apply a tempered glass screen protector to it.
The glass screen protector would struggle to stay on a curved screen and would not adhere to it very well. The screen also makes the use of S-pens easier towards the edges.
