The Galaxy S24 Ultra might say good-bye to curved screen
The Galaxy S24 series is nearing its launch date, and the leaks grow the excitement further. The series is said to hold a greater enhancement than the existing Galaxy S family, but the ultra variant seems to break all the barriers, equipped with the best ever features, an enhanced camera system, and a display. It was even reported that the gadget will be coated with titanium instead of armor aluminum and will be lighter compared to prior variants. This isn’t it, as the entire design lookup of the S24 Ultra is going to change.
According to the reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly be 79 mm wide, which points to the switch to a flat screen. It is highly doubtful that the bezels will truly widen, considering the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s curved edges give it a width of 78.1 mm. The Galaxy S23 Ultra had a curved design in its left and right corners, which most smartphones possess today. The advantage that the screen brings in particular is that the screen is completely flat, making it quite simple to apply a tempered glass screen protector to it.
The glass screen protector would struggle to stay on a curved screen and would not adhere to it very well. The screen also makes the use of S-pens easier towards the edges. The tipster added that the S24 Ultra’s display can attain a maximum brightness of over 2,000 nits, whereas the S23 Ultra had 1,750 nits. The top and bottom of these bezels will measure 3mm, while the left and right sides will measure 3.42 mm, according to the image shared by Ice Universe. The phone’s measurement could potentially alter from 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm to 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm, which would make it somewhat shorter but wider and thinner.

This suggests that the S24 Ultra variant will have bigger bezels, while the tipster has cautioned that it may be inaccurate. The model is anticipated to arrive powered by both the Exynos 2400 chipset and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, limited to certain regions. A camera system may include a 200 MP primary camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. A battery life of 5,000 mAh and 45 W of rapid charging are expected for the gadget. Both the 256 GB and 512 GB internal storage variants hold 12 GB of RAM, while for the 1TB storage variant, there will be 16 GB of RAM.
