The South Korean tech giant will soon come up with the Galaxy S24 series, expected for 2024’s early release. Since its announcement, there have been reports that the series will arrive with two chipsets. Based on the regions, the trio of the Galaxy S24 series—S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra—will be available in the Qualcomm-Exynos form factor. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 are employed for this, and the release of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is scheduled for October. As of now, we’re notified that its price will be higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, maybe because it was built on a 4nm process.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy

Now that the chipset is visible on the Geekbench database, according to a recent leak, RedMagic, a high-end gaming smartphone brand owned by Nubia, is already working on its upcoming flagship. The phone with the model number NX769J is probably the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 9. It has appeared on the benchmark listing, which portrays the model as being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The motherboard is identified as “pineapple,” which is the same as the Samsung Galaxy S24 device that showed up on Geekbench. But it turns out that Samsung will use a stronger Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU in the Galaxy S24.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 from Nubia appears to have an octa-core CPU with a three-cluster structure of 2+5+1: the two efficiency cores operate at 2.27 GHz, the five intermediate cores operate at 2.96 GHz, and the single performance core operates at 3.19 GHz. However, the rumored Galaxy S24+ was earlier said to have an octa-core CPU equipped with a 2+3+2+1 cluster. A frequency of 3.30 GHz for the single performance core, 3.5% higher compared to Nubia; a frequency of 3.15 GHz for the first three intermediate cores; and the two efficiency cores operating at 2.27 GHz.

So it seems the collaboration between Samsung and Qualcomm will continue to offer a “for Galaxy” Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that will surpass the ordinary one in terms of performance, which has been visible in the performance core values for powering up the Galaxy S24 variants, just like an exclusive “for Galaxy” Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU for the Galaxy S23 was introduced previously.
