Samsung is constantly updating the Galaxy devices this month. The company is handling two types of updates: One UI 5.1.1 and the August 2023 security patch update. For some devices, the company is rolling out a second August update for Galaxy devices like the Galaxy S20 lineup.
Why is Samsung pushing a new August patch update?
Samsung has rolled out the second update for the Galaxy S20’s LTE and 5G variants. With the latest update, the company doesn’t reveal anything about the changes; however, it is possible that the company may give this update to fix the issues that came with the previous update. So if you are having any problems after installing the first update, then you should update your device with the latest one.
Samsung is updating the European units
Currently, Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S20 series of devices in Europe. Users who own any model of the Galaxy S20 can identify the latest update by the firmware version number G98xxXXUIHWH9. If the same issues arise outside of Europe, the company will expand the update to more regions.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 is out of major updates
Samsung introduced the Galaxy S20 series of devices in 2020. The devices came with the promise of three major updates, and gradually they have received them. Initially, these devices came with Android 10, but later they received new Android updates and are currently running on Android 13, which is the last update. However, they will continue to get new updates in the form of patches.
