Galaxy A05 Could Be a Strong Contender in the Budget Market

Samsung Galaxy A series lineups are highly expected among customers who await budget-friendly smartphones with great specifications. The next member of the family is the Galaxy A05, which is expected to release in the final phase of the year just like its predecessor, which was released in October of 2022. Now the gadget has been spotted on the certification site Anatel, Brazil’s National Telecommunication Agency, where the listing revealed two images that have been shared by the news blog Tecnoblog and showcase the front and back designs.
The front view features an Infinity-U notch for the selfie camera and a glossy surface with a black striped pattern. The Galaxy A05’s 4G variant can be identified by the model number SM-A055F, while most likely there will be no 5G variant and it will be equipped with two SIM chip slots. A dual-camera system may be indicated by the phone back’s two camera cutouts, and one of them will hold a 50 MP sensor along with an LED flash. Also, the rear of the A05 is covered in a striped design with a glossy finish. However, the Galaxy A05 is incompatible with 5G connections.

The Galaxy A05 will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and Android 13. The gadget will probably include 4 GB of RAM, which is typical for a device in this sector. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C connector, and a 3.5 mm headphone socket are all said to join the specifications lineup. On the right side, there will be buttons for power and volume. The Galaxy A05 will be powered by the MediaTek MT6769V/WY CPU-Helio G85, which has eight cores and clocks at a maximum of 2.0 GHz.

Two ARM Cortex-A75 CPU cores clock at 2 GHz, and six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 1.8 GHz accompany the CPU. The upcoming model will outperform its predecessor in the speed factor as it only features the power-saving Cortex-A55 CPU cores. Another notable point is that the PowerVR GE8320 GPU equipped in the Galaxy A04 is less potent than the ARM Mali-G52 GPU in the Galaxy A05. All these make us wonder, even after having great specifications, why the model doesn’t support 5G connectivity.
