Samsung brings September 2023 update to the Galaxy XCover 5

The Samsung Xcover 5 device belongs to the rugged smartphone category. Samsung has limitedly launched these devices in some countries. Now these devices are receiving the latest September 2023 update.

Notably, the latest update is now rolling out for the Galaxy XCover 5. Users can easily identify the latest update by its firmware version number, G525FXXS8CWH3.

The latest update brings a September 2023 security update, which brings several fixes for the improvement of security. According to the official documentation, the latest update brings more than 60 fixes for resolving the issues found in the Galaxy devices; more specifically, there are 27 patches included by Google, and Samsung has also rolled out 35 more patches that exclusively improve the services.

Currently, the update is available in several countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, and Argentina. It is expected that the company will soon expand the update to more countries for the Galaxy XCover 5.

The Xcover 5 was launched in 2021, and the device came with Android 11. Later, it grabbed some more updates, and now it is running on Android 13. The device is also eligible to get one more major update, which will be available as Android 14 and One UI 6.
