In partnership with upscale golf brand PXG, Samsung Electronics will begin selling the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition in Korea on September 15. Starting on the 15th, a limited number of the “Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition” will be offered. Along with physical retailers like Samsung Gangnam, Samsung Store Shinsegae Gangnam, Samsung Store Hyundai Apgujeong/Trade Centre, and Samsung Store Lotte Jamsil/Busan, it is also offered online at places like Samsung.com, Golfzone Market, and Golfing.

Notably, the third item produced in collaboration between Samsung Electronics and PXG is the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition. It blends PXG’s outstanding quality with the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Golf Edition’s analog watch sensibility. The two different PXG strap styles elegantly incorporate the brand’s characteristic black and white hues, enabling styling both on the job and off it. The PXG ball pouch combines elegance and functionality by using a detachable multi-pouch construction.

It also includes a PXG ball marker and a PXG golf ball with the PXG brand emblem etched on it. The QR code on the attached voucher makes it simple to download “two types of watch faces exclusively for PXG.” Additionally, a PXG ball bag, a PXG golf ball, and a PXG ball marker will be included in the smartwatch’s gift box. Price points for the watch are KRW 869,000 for the 43mm variant and KRW 899,000 for the bigger 47mm model. There is no information about its global availability at this moment, so it looks like it will only be offered in South Korea.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition: What’s new

As an opening offer, the first 200 customers who purchase the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition that too at Samsung Gangnam will get a coupon for a PXG Club Fitting worth 100,000 won. The new edition of the Watch is outfitted with Golfzon’s “Smart Caddy” software, which offers details on nearly 40,000 golf courses around the world as well as different features including auto shot tracking and distance measuring, as well as a smart golf experience. Of course, the users may wonder what the auto-shot tracking feature is.

This functionality counts the number of rounds fired in a round and automatically logs their position when a watch sensor detects a shot. An official from Samsung Electronics stated, “The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition is a product that provides the best golf experience by combining the field companion Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Golf Edition and PXG, a brand desired by golfers. We are creating a special edition that combines not only function but also style. I hope you can enjoy smarter golf through this.

The Galaxy Watch FE is listed on Amazon, with pricing and release dates ahead of the official launch

Published

Samsung is close to debuting the latest Fan Edition smartwatch edition, the Galaxy Watch FE, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July. Finally, the pricing of the watch leaked via an Amazon listing.

Even before any official announcement or launch, leaks and rumors have already revealed the next-generation smartwatch’s specs, features, and design. The new leaks reveal the price of the upcoming Galaxy Watch FE based on an Amazon listing. If the new reports are to be believed, the Galaxy Watch FE will be available in three color options, as it has been listed in three color options on Amazon. The color options are mentioned below:

  • Black, silver, and pink gold

Reportedly, by analyzing the listing on different pages, it seems that the forthcoming Galaxy Watch FE will cost €199, which is approximately $215. However, this time also, the pricing in the US will be lower as compared to the conversion rate, as has always been the case. By this prospect, it would cost $199 in the US, or maybe even lower. The watch will only be available in one measurement variant, which is 40mm.

The pricing looks convincing since the 40mm model of the non-FE model was priced at $300, which could boost the forthcoming Galaxy Watch 7. It is expected that the brand could introduce some initial offers that will make the pricing more affordable. The reason behind this seems to be that the Galaxy Watch 6 just costs €189, so obviously customers will buy the FE when they can grab a fresh variant at an even more affordable price than the FE variant.

It’s already been reported that the Galaxy Watch FE is the rebranded version of the Galaxy Watch 4 with wider bezels. The current listing doesn’t reveal the specs apart from the watch size, dimensions, and in-box content. As per the listing, the watch will weigh 26.6 grams and come in 40 x 10 x 39 mm dimensions.

Reportedly, the Galaxy Watch FE could feature a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED 40mm display and be powered by the Exynos W920 Dual Core 1.18 GHz. The memory package could count as 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM and will run on the Wear OS 4 One UI Watch 5. It could have a 247 mAh battery. The giant could offer some convenient features such as magnetic wireless charging, water resistance up to 50 meters, an aluminum body, water certification up to 5 ATMs, and IP68/MMIL-STD-810H.

Samsung Smartwatch Growth Continues Despite Exit from Top 3

Published

on

Smart wearables, especially watches, are in high demand nowadays. The current metrics provided by the latest research conducted by the International Data Corporation (IDC) suggest the top three positions of smart wearable watch brands in the market.

If the new metrics of IDC are to be believed, there was an 8.8% boost in shipments calculated in the first quarter of 2024. Even after this, the average selling price fell for the fifth consecutive quarter, falling by 11% in the first three months of 2024. A contrasting situation also affected Samsung

During the first quarter of this year, Samsung sold around 10.6 million wearables, including the Galaxy Fit 3 and Galaxy Watch 6. This data allowed for an improvement in the market share from 9% in the first quarter of 2023 to 9.3% in the first quarter of this year. Samsung’s market share increased 13% year-over-year, but despite that, they fell to the bottom of the list of the top three wearable sellers due to a decrease in smartwatch sales.

On the other side, Samsung is setting up to launch the next-generation Galaxy Watch FE. Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra smartwatches suggest a positive outlook. Globally, the ranking of the brands with the highest number of smartwatch sales sees Apple in first place, which recorded the distribution of 20.6 million products. Apart from the Galaxy watches, Apple Watch sales also dropped 18.9% as compared to last year. However, it could cover up the loss with the release of its forthcoming Apple Watch Series 10 by the end of this year.

According to data, Xiaomi’s sales grew an efficient 43.4% as compared to last year, touching the milestone of 11.8 million units and securing 10.5% market share. In the first quarter of 2023, it sold only 8.2 million units, a growth of 43.4%. The third step of the podium was conquered by Huawei, which had counted a growth of 72.4% in 10.9 million wearable devices sold during the first quarter of this year. Huawei secured its place in the top three, overtaking Samsung with a market share of 6.1% back in 2023 and 9.6% this year.
