More Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 Units get November 2023 Update in the US

Samsung is quickly expanding the November 2023 security update to eligible Galaxy devices. The company is distributing high-end devices, mainly in the US, and now adding more new devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are getting new updates. However, the update does not belong to the One UI, so don’t expect more from it.

The November 2023 update is one of the security patch updates that comes with several new fixes that aim to bring security-related enhancements. For your information, the latest update includes more than 50 fixes that eradicate the loopholes found in the devices. In detail, there are 49 patches, including those by Google, that bring fixes to improve the overall Android OS.

Samsung has added 15 additional fixes to the same update, further strengthening the security system. With these extra updates, the company will ensure that its users will have more secure environments on their Galaxy devices.

At the moment, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 4 is spotted getting the November 2023 update with the firmware version number F721U1UES3DWJ1, while the locked units of the device have already received the update on some networks. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is receiving the same update on the locked units, which are affiliated with several networks, including Comcast, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile with firmware version F946USQS1AWJ7.

If you own the Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Flip 4 in the US, you can easily update them to the latest version by going to the system settings and then clicking on the software update menu. You will find the option “download and install.” Tap on it and wait until it finishes searching. If it shows a new software update is available, then click on the download button, and it will start downloading and installing automatically.
