Android Auto 11.0 update optimizes its app and status icons for Samsung devices
Google is constantly developing Android Auto with new updates. In the current development, the company has brought the latest beta update under v11.0, but in all the beta updates, the company doesn’t mention any new changes included in these firmwares. But with the stable update, we got to know that Android Auto has received some improvements in the status and app icons.
According to the information, the latest stable update of Android Auto is not limited to bringing improvements in performance and further fixes; it is also coming with a big change for the icons that appear on Samsung devices. As you know, Galaxy devices are running on One UI, which comes with its own styles and features, so here for the adjustment, Android Auto also brings its app icon the same as presented in the Samsung skin.
Along with this, Google has also optimized the status icon of the application to match the Samsung UI; instead of the cellular or Wi-Fi icons, Galaxy users will have the same icon experience that is suited to Samsung devices.
The 9to5Google‘s deep analysis of the application’s latest version reports that the status icon changes are exclusively available for Galaxy devices. If you connect it with other Android smartphone manufacturers like Oppo or OnePlus as well, Pixel doesn’t grab any change. The company may make the icon change according to the dedicated styles of the respected UI.
Additionally, it is not a fresh development for Android Auto, and while Google has been working on it for a long time, it was first spotted back in October in version 10.7, but it was not widely available. On the other side, Google sometimes makes changes directly on the server side, so it is hard to say which version is dedicated to bringing the latest change. But if you want to take advantage of extra advantages, then you should update Android Auto to the latest version, i.e., v11.0. You can easily update the application from the Play Store, but if you don’t find it there, you can also update it from the APKMirror.
