Galaxy Note 20, S21 FE, Fold 5, and Flip 5 getting January 2024 security patch

Samsung is constantly rolling out the January 2024 security patch to eligible Galaxy devices. It has started the update session with its fourth-generation foldable smartphones, then expanded the update on a regular basis. Now, moving forward, it has started rolling out the update to five of the Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Fold 5, Galaxy Flip 5, and Galaxy S21 FE.

The January 2024 security update is the latest security patch for the Galaxy device. It doesn’t bring any new features for the device, but it comes with some new fixes that will enhance the overall security of the devices. Sometimes the update also brings some internal improvements for the devices, which can enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices.

The Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have already received the update in several countries, and now they are spotted receiving it in the European and Latin American regions with firmware version numbers N980FXXS9HXA1 and N985FXXS9HXA1, respectively.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are getting the update in Europe with firmware version numbers F946BXXS1BWL7 and F731BXXS1BWL7, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 FE also started getting a new update in Europe with the firmware version number G990BXXS6FWL5.

If you are also using these devices in the mentioned regions, then you are now able to update them to the latest software version. To do that, you just need to check the notification about the update availability, or you can also check the update manually by going to the software update menu through the system main settings.
