The craze for the first unpacked event got over with the Galaxy S24 launch, and now Samsung is gearing up for the upcoming gadgets. It may be the next-generation chipset for the Galaxy Watch 7.

Samsung, for expanding its wearable smartwatch ways, started gearing up for a new chipset to power the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup. The brand may announce this chip by the end of 2024. This may be an Exynos W940 chip.

The company has powered the Galaxy Watch 6 with an Exynos W930 processor, which has a higher clock speed as well as an improved fabrication process as compared to its previous generation Exynos W920 chipset. Samsung debuted this Exynos W920 processor with the Galaxy Watch 4.

Now, recent reports indicate that the Korean tech giants are working on a forthcoming chipset for powering the Galaxy Watch 7 series. This is being speculated by a post on X, formerly Twitter, shared by a well-known tipster, Roland Quandt, that the Galaxy Watch 7 is based on the Exynos 5535, but it is the internal model number and not an official marketing identity. The chipset could potentially be named the Exynos W940.

Apart from this, it is also known that the company is gearing up for more chipsets with the internal model numbers Exynos 5400 and Exynos 6375. However, at the moment, no exact official announcement has been made regarding these model numbers.

All these gathered reports indicate that Samsung is probably setting up to unveil the Exynos 1430 and Exynos 1480 processors for mid-range smartphones.
