No More Software Updates for Samsung’s Popular A Series Phone

Spread the love

Samsung is aggressively moving forward to enter the Android smartphone market, and to maintain it, the company frequently introduces some new devices that come every year. For instance, the Korean giant brings some new A-series devices early every year, and then with days passing, it brings more new devices in the other series, including the Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M.

To make these devices more useful and well-maintained, the company introduced software updates for the devices so users could enjoy using their functionalities for a long time. There are two types of software updates available: major software updates, or one-UI updates, and security patch updates, which aim to provide enhanced security.

However, Samsung follows a strict policy of software updates for the devices. It makes several new features, like a limit of five years of software updates in the form of four major updates and five security updates, and with the latest development, the company has extended it to seven years of software updates.

The Galaxy A51 LTE is removed from the eligible device list

When any device reaches its update limit, it is removed from the official list of security updates for the devices. The same happened with three devices, where one popular device was also retired. The list includes the Galaxy Tab S6, the Galaxy A01, and the Galaxy A51 LTE device; however, the Galaxy A51 5G is still listed there. If you want to explore all the devices that are still listed under it, you can also check the update.
