Carrier-locked Galaxy A53 started getting the March 2024 security patch

Samsung has rolled out the March 2024 security patch update for the carrier-locked Galaxy A53 devices; more specifically, the update is now available on the Verizon network with the firmware version number A536VSQSADXC1. More carriers should make it available in the coming days. Apart from the locked versions, Samsung could also release an update for unlocked variants in the next few days.

As per the official page of Verizon, the latest update provides the latest Android security patch for the device, which means the update will only provide some security-related enhancements, while no innovation will be available for the device.

If we talk about the details of the March 2024 update, according to the official documentation, the latest update comes with more than 40 fixes, with 37 patches added by Google and another 9 fixes added by Samsung. With all these fixes, users will get a more protective environment.

If you are using the Galaxy A53 device in the US, you should start getting new notifications related to the availability of the update. To update the device, you just need to tap on the notification, which will redirect you to the software update menu. Here,  tap on the download and install option. If you haven’t received any updates yet, they can also be updated manually.
