Galaxy S21 FE and Note 20 Series started getting the March 2024 security patch in Europe

Samsung doesn’t follow any set of rules to provide the security patch update for the Galaxy devices; therefore,  it randomly expands the update to the eligible devices. Due to this, sometimes the highest devices don’t get the update early, even if they are enlisted on the monthly update eligible list. The same is happening with the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy Note 20 series devices.

Both LTE and 5G variants of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra started getting new updates with the firmware version numbers N981**XXSAHXC4 and N98**XXSAHXC4, respectively. Meanwhile, the original Galaxy S21 FE got a new update with the firmware version number G990BXXS6FXC1. Along with this, the update also arrived on the Galaxy S21 FE (2022) smartphone, which is coming with the firmware version number G990B2XXS5FXC1.

The March 2024 security patch update comes with some security-related enhancements. As per the official documentation, the latest update will provide more than 40 fixes, where Google has added 37 patches. Along with this, Samsung also brings nine more fixes, which will improve the overall security of the devices.

Moreover, it may also provide some more improvements for the performance and stability of the devices, and if you are facing any issues while getting some improvements, then you should update your devices to the latest version. To do that, you just need to go to the system settings, then tap on the software update menu. Here,  tap on the download and install button.
