Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy F55 5G smartphone; however, the company hasn’t confirmed it, but several rumors circulating on the internet indicate that the company will soon debut the new device in the Galaxy F series lineup.

Ahead of the launch, some details started emerging on the internet. 91Mobiles has spotted the Galaxy F55 5G smartphone in the Google Play console database.

The Google Console database confirms that the Galaxy F55 5G smartphone will be a rebranded version of the recently launched Galaxy M55 5G device in India and other regions. The upcoming Galaxy F series smartphone will be equipped with the Qualcomm chipset with the SM 7450 codename, which means the device will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC is fabricated on a 4nm process and brings four Kryo 770 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz, four Kryo 770 cores at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 644 GPU. Along with this, the database also confirms that the smartphone will be available with 8GB of RAM and come with Android 14 out of the box. Further, it also shares details about the display, which will have a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution.

Meanwhile, if we talk about the other expected features, as per the reports, the device will be equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness. The device will be equipped with a triple camera setup, a 50 MP primary camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP macro camera. It may include a 32 MP front camera for selfies. It is equipped with a massive battery of 5000 mAh with 45 W fast charging.

Samsung Could Reveal Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Slim’ Along with Galaxy S25

Published

The Korean firm ‘Samsung’ is reportedly gearing up for a Fold 6 Slim with a larger display, but this time without an S Pen.

Transparently, Samsung is building the next-generation foldable in full swing. Now leaks and CAD renders are blowing into the market, revealing the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6’s design. Not only design, but rumors also hint that the Korean giant is working on an ‘Ultra’ variant of its flagship foldable.

However, the expected Ultra variant of the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 might see a limited release or not launch at all. Meanwhile, to increase the enthusiasm among fans, Ross Young on X has shared more details about “Fold 6 Slim,” which could ship with a bigger display as compared to Fold 6.

The CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young, known for his accurate display-related supply chain leaks, says he’s hearing about Samsung working on a Fold 6 Slim. The device will have a larger display than that of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6, but it noticeably lacks S Pen support. Apart from this, he also hinted that it’s quite possible the Korean giant could market the device as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, but the exact final name is yet to be decided. He pointed out in the post that the Samsung Fold 6 Slim could arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Irrespective of the name, the open-book foldable will “definitely” be slimmer than the Fold 6 due to the lack of a digitizer. As per the analysis of the display analyst, it might carry similar price tags as the Fold 6. It is expected that this could launch alongside the Galaxy S25 series, which is supposed to arrive in early 2025.

On the other hand, the sixth-generation Galaxy foldable Galaxy Z Folf 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event in early July

Samsung Galaxy A83 Reportedly Under Development

Published

A new Samsung Galaxy device is spotted in the budding stage, named the Galaxy A83. The Korean giant is now gearing up to expand its Galaxy A series by introducing a new mid-range device.

This upcoming Galaxy smartphone has been spotted as a new Samsung phone in the database of India’s Bureau of India Standards, as the report says. Apart from this, there is no confirmation of the moniker of the device. It seems that it could be named the Galaxy A83 when it arrives on the market. Unfortunately, the listing has no information about the specifications of the device.

Samsung’s A-series smartphones resemble scale-back variants of its Galaxy S-series flagship models. Noticeably, the Galaxy A80 featured a dedicated design; it’s expected that the upcoming A83 might also introduce something unique in terms of design and appearance.

However, since the brand has not even officially hinted at the device’s name yet, it remains unconfirmed; this is purely speculative at this stage. The report also claims that Samsung will take off covers from the Galaxy F55 5G smartphone on May 27 in India. In terms of specifications, it is almost identical to the Galaxy M55, which is available through Amazon in India.

Being an F-series phone, the F55 will be sold through Flipkart. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display along with a refresh rate of 120Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. The battery package includes 5,000mAh of power with the support of 45W fast charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and a 50 MP selfie camera.

Galaxy S26 Aims to Rival Apple with Advanced 2nm Chip

Published

Samsung is taking steps forward to mass production by 2025 and is building a new 2nm fabrication process named SF2.

The Korean giant is now actively working on developing a new 2nm chip manufacturing process and is expected to use this latest technology for the brand’s next-generation Exynos 2600 chipset, which will be supposed to power the Galaxy S26 smartphones. A new report reported that Samsung has started building a chipset with the codename ‘Thetis.’

The report claims that the giant is expected to start mass-producing this SoC on the 2nm fabrication process in 2025 and is about to debut this next-generation processor as the Exynos 2600. However, ‘Thetis’ is a term that belongs to Greek mythology; she appears in various roles; for instance, sea sprite, goddess of water, and one of the fifty Nereids, who are daughters of the ancient sea god Nereus.

Previously, the report revealed that the Exynos 2600 will feature an in-house-developed GPU instead of one based on AMD’s RDNA architecture, similar to that housed in the Exynos 2400. We are expecting that Samsung will debut the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. Apple should introduce the iPhone 17 series, which is claimed to use a 2nm chipset built by TSMC, next year in September.

This means that Samsung will be the second company to launch a smartphone based on a 2 nm chipset. Currently, there’s a lack of enough details regarding Exynos 2600, but it is expected that soon more information will arrive.
