Galaxy Watch 7 Charging Speeds Up by 50% Compared to its Predecessor
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is in the actively developing stage and is expected to bring a major boost of 50% faster charging speed than its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 6.
The Korean giant is setting up to launch the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 as the successor to the Galaxy Watch 6. Before any official statement is released, leaks and rumors predict more about the watch. The new report suggests that the Galaxy Watch 7 will feature a 50% faster charging speed than the current models.
It’s already been reported that the FCC has listed the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 7 FE on its website. The report speculates that after dedicatedly going through the Galaxy Watch 7 documents, it was discovered that the forthcoming watch will support 15W charging. According to the certification documents, one of the four variants of the Galaxy Watch 7 under the model number SM-L305 supports charging at 5V and 3A, which counts to 15W.
The other three variants of the forthcoming Galaxy Watch 7, under the model numbers SM-L300, SM-L310, and SM-L315, are also expected to feature 15W charging. If this prediction is true, then the next-generation watch will take 50% less time to charge compared to its predecessor, which takes around one hour plus thirty minutes to get charged from tip to top. By these metrics, it appears that the Galaxy Watch 7 just asks you to wait 45 minutes to get charged from 0% to 100%.
Jumping on the Galaxy Watch 7 FE, the certification documents show that the Galaxy Watch 7 FE supports only 5W charging, which is 50% slower than the Galax Watch 6. Since Samsung has not revealed any official statement regarding the charging speed of the upcoming watch, it will be interesting to see whether these reports come true or not.
