Samsung’s next-generation foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, are in the budding stage of making their debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is supposed to be held in July. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to have negligible display creases.
Previously, it was reported that the forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to arrive with an upgraded display with thicker glass. Now reports are revealing that Samsung is working on lessening the display crease on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Since the initial phase of foldable smartphones, the display crease has been the key barricade to ‘perfecting’ the technology.
Other manufacturers, including OnePlus and Oppo, handle this problem better than others and have managed to build foldable devices with barely noticeable display creases, as shown by the OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3 Flip. However, despite leading the foldable market, Samsung has yet to make any big progress in this area.
As compared to 2019’s Galaxy Fold, the current Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a better display crease, but not by any extreme margin. Finally, the reports say that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to have an improved display with less creases. A tipster on X shared a post hinting that creases are not perfectly eliminated, but the Galaxy Z Fold 6 does reduce the creases. Samsung has yet to report on the specs and design of the forthcoming foldable, but it will be interesting to see what new novelties and designs the phones will bring.
