One UI 6 Watch AI Features Free for Galaxy Watch Until 2025, Similar to Smartphones
Samsung is all set to launch its next-generation wearable smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 7 series, and is actively working on the next One UI 6 Watch update to upgrade the smartwatch functionality. The update brings Galaxy AI to the Galaxy Watch to enhance its popular health features.
Samsung started the Galaxy AI era initially with the Galaxy S24 series exclusively, later expanding it to more eligible Galaxy flagship devices. Now the giant is looking forward to expanding the generative AI era to its Galaxy smartwatches as well. Samsung has officially announced that Galaxy AI is coming to the new Galaxy Watches. The announcement suggests that Samsung will exclusively launch the Galaxy AI on the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series run on Wear OS 5-based on One UI 6 Watch, then gradually expand it to more eligible Galaxy smartwatches.
Here’s the question: Whether the Galaxy AI features remain free forever on Galaxy Watches or only until 2025 as Galaxy smartphones?
One UI 6 Watch AI Features Will No Longer Be Free for Galaxy Watches After 2025
Sad to relate, the Galaxy AI features on Galaxy Watches will only be available for free until the end of 2025. Samsung has officially mentioned that “the availability of Galaxy AI features may vary by device model. Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices.”
However, the same policy was announced for the Galaxy smartphones at the time of their official release. This means that after 2025, the brand will ask you to pay for using the Galaxy AI features on Galaxy watches, as well as smartphones.
With the integration of Galaxy AI, Samsung Health is getting a major upgrade, offering more overarching health insight and motivation to improve your wellness. Sleep tracking with the help of an advanced AI algorithm will offer you detailed analysis beyond just sleep stages with new metrics such as movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate, respiratory rate during sleep, and more. Samsung Health is adding some exciting new features for fitness enthusiasts, such as personalized heart rate zones, functional threshold power for cyclists, workout routine builders, race tracks, and more.
Junho Park, VP and Head of the Galaxy Ecosystem Product Planning Team, MX Business at Samsung Electronics, has stated, “The introduction of Galaxy AI to the Galaxy Watch is just the beginning of this process, and we’re excited to showcase even more integrations across our Galaxy portfolio very soon.”
