Samsung got late! We already crossed a week of June today, and still, the June patch has yet to arrive.

Samsung hardly gets late to roll out its software updates, whether it’s about major OS updates or general security patches. But this time, the giant has not released this month’s June security patch, despite already being seven days away. In most cases, Samsung starts to deliver the security patches a few days before the month of the patch.

Samsung June 2024 Security Update

In comparison to other smartphone manufacturers, generally, Samsung rolls out the major OS and security patch updates earlier. However, Samsung’s official SMR has already been released, according to which the June patch will provide nearly 60 patches, out of which Google has applied 37 patches. This means that it will bring more than 30 fixes that will address the highly complicated system mechanism.

Since Samsung released its SMR, it suggests that soon the patch will be rolled out. However, the reason behind being late is not clear, but it seems that for a couple of weeks, the brand has been quite busy releasing the current Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update to all the eligible Galaxy devices. Due to the busy schedule, last month also the giant was late in delivering the May 2024 patch, although somehow it managed, but again the June 2024 security patch is yet to come out.

By brand has fixed the issue related to some functions, including an improved vulnerability in the CamInfo driver, Samsung dialer, caller verification, battery stats service, and many more. Although the brand has not defined the vulnerabilities that affect the devices in detail.
