Samsung introduced the Galaxy A15 5G back in 2023. It comes with Android 14 and One UI 6.0 preinstalled. Recently,  the device grabbed the One UI 6.1 update, which brought a lot of new features, and with the continuation of the update, the device is now getting a new May 2024 security patch update in the US.

Users who own the Galaxy A15 5G in the US can now install the latest security patch on their device. More specifically, the Galaxy A15 5G is spotted getting the update on both locked and unlocked variants with the firmware version numbers A156USQS2BXE5 and A156U1UES2BXE5, respectively. As of writing, the device is spotted on T-Mobile, Metro PCS, and US Cellular.

The May 2024 security patch aims to provide some enhancements under different system applications to strengthen the overall security mechanisms of the devices. According to the official documentation, the update will address more than 50 fixes to enhance the overall performance and stability of the device.

It is also worth noticing that this is the first update to arrive after the One UI 6.1 feature installation, so it is expected that the company may apply some optimization to the feature that allows the user to get more enhancements for the devices.

If you are using the Galaxy A15 in the US, then you can now take advantage of the new feature by checking the update from the software update through system settings. If the update hasn’t arrived on your device yet, then wait for some time, as it may take time to reach all the units.
