Galaxy A52 receives May 2024 security update in the US
Last week, Samsung initiated the May 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A52 5G device, but it was limited to Europe. Now, with the new development, the company has started expanding the update for the Galaxy A52 devices in the US.
Notably, the May 2024 security patch update arrives for both locked and unlocked units of the devices. The locked unit of the Galaxy A52 5G was spotted on almost all carriers, including T-Mobile, and it is carrying the firmware version number A526USQSDGXE3. Meanwhile, the unlocked variant of the device is getting new updates with the firmware version number A526U1UESDGXE2.
The May 2024 security patch update will not provide any new features or enhancements but will provide some improvements with some patches for the internal security of the device, which will prepare your device to prevent itself from harmful cyber attacks.
Along with this, the update is arriving just after the introduction of the One UI 6.1 feature, so it is expected that it may provide some new improvements over the working of some newly added features and make them easily work efficiently and with stability.
For your information, the Galaxy A52 5G arrived with Android 11 preinstalled back in 2021. Later, it received three more major updates in the form of Android 12, Android 13, and Android 14. As the device is not eligible to get any major updates, it may get some more security patch updates in the future.
