Galaxy S24’s June 2024 Security Patch Now Rolling Out on More US Carriers
Samsung has started rolling out the June 2024 security patch update with the Galaxy S24 devices. The company initially introduced the update in the US, but now it has expanded the update to limited users.
Notably, earlier the Galaxy S24 devices were spotted getting a June 2024 security patch update on Verizon and US Cellular; now they are getting the update on more locked units bound to the AT&T, T-Mobile, and Metro PCS networks. Users who own the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S291USQS2AXE4, S296USQS2AXE4, and S298USQS2AXE4, respectively. The update is coming in a 444 MB software package.
As reported earlier, Samsung has introduced the June 2024 security patch update in some US carriers and South Korea. With this update, the company has introduced the firmware version, which indicates that the latest software may bring some internal changes that could enhance the working of the devices, but at the same time, in the US, the Korean giant is using a different firmware version, which signifies that the update only aims to enhance the security of the devices.
Notably, the June 2024 security patch update will enhance the overall performance of the device with security strengthening. In a nutshell, it will provide nearly 60 fixes, including enhancements from Google and Samsung to elevate the device’s performance.
