WhatsApp is working rapidly to introduce innovation for the application, which introduces several new features and innovations that lead to a level-up user experience. In the last couple of months, several new features have arrived in the applications, including recent media features, status updates, new ways to reply and react, and many more. Moving forward, the company has started testing a new dedicated dial pad for calls.
What’s the advantage of having a new dial pad?
In the last few weeks, it was rumored that WhatsApp may introduce a dedicated dial pad, which will provide convenience to the user to directly contact the user who is not saved in the contact list. Now the company has started testing it.
The new dial pad option is placed immediately above the phone icon in the call tab. Once you press this button, you will get exactly the same dial pad option as the phone app. Here, you can just dial and connect with the users. You can also save contact directly by entering the phone number.
Additionally, you will get one more message icon, which allows you to quickly send a message to the phone number you want to call. As far as the availability of the feature is concerned, it is not confirmed whether everyone will get the feature or not.
WhatsApp has rolled out a new beta update with the version number 2.24.13.17. The update is obviously available for the users who have enrolled in the beta program.
