Samsung Publishes August 2024 Security Patch Bulletin Fixing 50 Vulnerabilities

Samsung is always ahead in terms of bringing the security patch to its Galaxy devices. Generally, the company starts distributing the update to eligible devices at the start of the month, but this time, the company delayed it because it was developing other important software, including One UI 7 and One UI 6.1.1.

August 2024 security patch: what’s new

Samsung has described the August 2024 security patch detail in its official documentation, going in detail. There are exactly 50 patches introduced where Google has introduced 35 patches for fixing the security vulnerabilities of Android OS, and Samsung introduced others to address different security loopholes in Galaxy devices

Samsung fixes 14 fixes and one semiconductor patch

Samsung has introduced an extra 14 fixes to make the Galaxy devices more secure against issues found in them. According to the official documentation, the update will make several new changes and fixes for different vulnerabilities, including control device service and improved access control in KnoxService. The update also fixes issues related to the Galaxy Watch and many more.

In addition, one more semiconductor-related patch has been introduced, which will improve the overall experience of the devices.

Availability of the update

Samsung usually starts distributing the update at the start of the month, but this time, it looks like the company is working to provide the patch with its significant update, including One UI 6.1.1 or One UI 7 beta.
