Google Maps can now work offline in Galaxy smartwatches

Google Maps is one of the most commonly used applications from Google and is available on several portable devices, including smartphones, tablets, infotainment systems, and smartwatches. With the latest update, the application is getting offline compatibility for the smartwatches.
Offline Google Maps for Wear OS: what’s the advantage?
To work accurately, the application mostly relies on the internet and a GPS signal. However, if it gets the proper connection to load the map on the device that it has asked for, then it will not need a stable connection, and the maps can be used offline in this way. Taking advantage of this, Google has introduced the ‘Save Maps’ service, which can be used later without needing the internet.
However, initially, this service was introduced to only smartphones. Still, with the latest developments, the company has made the Google Map offline service for the Wear OS, which is also available for Galaxy watches.
According to 9to5Google, this service is currently available with the latest Google Maps for Wear OS version number 11.140.0701.W in the beta channel. It is expected to be available in the stable app in the coming days.
