One UI 6.1.1 Causes Fingerprint Recognition Issues on Galaxy S24

Before the Samsung Galaxy S24 users could explore all the new features and improvements of the One UI 6.1.1 update, they are now facing fingerprint-related issues instead.
It’s hardly two days since Samsung released the One UI 6.1.1 update to the Galaxy S24 series, and users have already started recognizing issues. Currently, the update is rolling out in South Korean regions.
A few Galaxy S24 users reported that after installing the One UI 6.1.1 update on their devices, they started facing fingerprint issues. After the update, the fingerprint either automatically misinterprets authentication or declines to recognize the pre-applied fingerprint.
The issue is being speculated, as a few users reported on Samsung’s community that after installing the One UI 6.1.1 update, a sudden fingerprint issue occurred on their devices.
A user reported that after the update its fingerprint was not being recognized for unlocking the device or even using Samsung Pay after a recent update. Despite multiple attempts and checking fingerprint registration, the problem persists, causing inconvenience.
Another user registered a fingerprint issue occurring in a different scene. He reported that after the update he is experiencing unwanted fingerprint recognition while the phone is in his pocket. It leaks to frequent failed attempts and then asks for a pattern lock. However, it’s expected that soon the brand will acknowledge the issue to release a fix.
