Future Samsung One UI Update May Bring Extra Layer of Security

Samsung can release its next major iteration, One UI 7, anytime soon, which is expected to bring a Device Protection feature to enhance the secured experience.
Google is gearing up to bring an Identity Check feature that asks users to use their biometrics to unlock apps. This addition will significantly reduce the privacy breach concerns.
Samsung’s One UI is a powerful package of advanced features, convenient customisable options, and notable privacy features. Now, to add an extra layer of protection, Samsung could adopt a privacy option.
Now it seems that Samsung could bring the Device Protection feature to its Galaxy device. However, Apple has already stolen this feature. Currently, the feature is under development, and few details about its functioning have appeared.
A report suggests that Android could soon implement an Identity Check feature. It will ask users to use their biometrics to unlock apps. However, biometrics will only be mandatory if the device is outside of a trusted location.
If the report is to be believed, an existence of a new string within the Setting app. The addition suggests “Identity Check is on.” The Settings app has code to show this “Identity Check is on” string while it invokes Android’s biometric prompt dialogue.
It’s expected that the Pixel maker is setting up Android to prevent when apps invoke the biometric prompt dialogue with a PIN/password/pattern fallback. The feature is expected to be efficient when you are out of trusted locations; for instance, your home.
