Galaxy S23 Ultra One UI 6.1.1 Update Paused Due to Technical Problems

Samsung already released the One UI 6.1.1 update to its Galaxy S23 series. Now the company is taking steps back to roll out the update widely. Since beyond expectation, the update causes unwanted camera issues in particular scenarios on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 series already received the One UI 6.1.1 update in several regions. Now the company decided to pause the update since it is causing a camera issue that creates ghosting in pictures captured at zoom levels between 16x and 19.9x.

Samsung is now gearing up to fix this unwanted camera issue on the Galaxy S23 Ultra after installing the One UI 6.1.1 update. Although the problem doesn’t affect the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ smartphones. Noticeably, the update is still available on the base and plus variants of the series, since the update does not cause any issue on both devices.

A breathtaking thing about this camera mess-up is that the zoom range affected by the issue is one most users potentially don’t use often. On the other side, for those who usually use these 16x and 19.9x zoom levels, there’s a temporary workaround if they have installed the One UI 6.1.1 update on their Galaxy S23 Ultra. They can go to camera app settings, tap Intelligent optimisation, and switch to the medium quality optimisation setting.

The users who encounter ghosting issues at the 16x and 19.9x zoom levels can use Samsung’s Exper RAW camera app, which is not affected and can be accessed from the Modes section of the default camera app.
