Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to support Satellite Communication

Samsung has successfully done its SDC24. At the event, somewhere it suggested that the next-generation Galaxy S25 series will be the first to run One UI 7 stably. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is almost confirmed to feature satellite communication.

Samsung is supposed to debut the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025. The series will include, as usual, three variants: Base, Plus, and Ultra. Among these three, the Ultra variant is highly anticipated to feature satellite communication.

It is being speculated that the Chinese Galaxy S25 series has crossed 3C certification, featuring satellite communication. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is spotted with the model number SM-S9380, and it is marked as a satellite communication-supported smartphone. However, it’s not clear yet if it will particularly use the BeiDou or TianTong system.

According to the report, the certification confirms that the satellite SOS technology will only support the Ultra model, which means that the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 will not be compatible with the satellite support.

Apart from the SOS technology, the certification also revealed that this time Samsung will not offer the charger in the Galaxy S25 series’ box as it only includes a cable. The Galaxy S24 will support a 25W charging speed, whereas the rest of the two variants could continue to offer 45W Super Fast charging technology.
