One UI 7-Style Icons Now Coming to Samsung Galaxy Books
Samsung seems to be covering up the delay in releasing the awaiting Android 15 update, as it already started rolling out UI 7-style icons to its products.
Galaxy Book series Windows laptops receive the newly designed app icons for in-app menus via a recent Setting app update. Before the update, the icons were slightly circular with squarish shapes.
However, the Galaxy smartphones are still in line to receive the One UI 7 circular icons. Currently, they use squircle icons for apps, in-app menus, and other UI elements. The company is expected to switch to circular icons on One UI 7. Reportedly, on Galaxy devices, a few in-app menus in the Settings and the Power menu had circular icons.
A user on X reported that he saw a change in the icon’s shape on a Galaxy Book 4 Ultra. The Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 also received the same update. Somewhere, exactly, it’s not clear whether Samsung plans to keep the app icon shape unchanged and only work on colors and design.
Noticeably, any major or countable change to the Settings app for Galaxy Books hasn’t appeared. Galaxy devices already offer powerful cross-device functions for enhanced productivity. This update also anticipates a seamless visual experience across the Galaxy ecosystem. The recent update to the Galaxy Books Settings app, with notable changes like redesigned icons, showcased the company’s commitment to a consistent user experience.
