Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Miss Google Play System Updates

Samsung recently launched its sixth-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Just after the debut, both devices flawlessly received regular security patches from Samsung, but mistakenly, they are not getting any Google Play system updates.
The newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable smartphones run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 out of the box. After the debut of these foldable phones in July, Samsung regularly released security patches for them, and they are receiving the updates flawlessly.
Noticeably, the devices are not getting any Google Play system updates, which are convenient for updating key core elements of the Android operating system and essential Google services, like the Play Store. However, Google Play system updates usually come with Samsung’s security updates, but not always with the latest version. For convenience, Google offers the ability to choose the option to manually update to the latest version.
The devices still have the April 2024 Google Play system update. Newer versions are not included in any post-launch updates or available for manual download. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 received the June Google Play system update with One UI 6.1.1; on the other side, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy 24 received the August version.
Also, a few of these devices can manually download the September system update by navigating Settings >> About phone >> Software information and tapping on Google Play system update. The exact reason why the Fold 6 and Flip 6 are on outdated Google Play system updates has yet to be clear.
