Samsung One UI 7 to Bring iOS 18-like Lock Screen Media Player UI
Samsung scheduled the stable Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for next year, which is expected to bring an iOS 18-like media player UI to the lock screen. The major interface revamp could replace the current layout with a larger one.
Samsung has already announced that it will open the One UI 7 beta program this year and introduce the stable version next year with the Galaxy S25 series. Recently, it was reported that the company is all set to release the One UI 7 beta update by the end of this month.
Meanwhile, a reliable tipster, Ice Universe, claimed that the coming One UI 7 will revamp the lock screen media player UI. The new design could take up more space on the lock screen.
The latest One UI 77’slock screen media player design could feature the thumbnail in a large square, and the track progress bar & other buttons could be followed in a dedicated overlay for more control. It seems that the entire look will depend on the implementation of blur effects. If this report comes true, these changes will aim to align the user interface more closely with iOS.
Apart from this new media player UI, it has already been revealed that One UI 7 will bring dedicated pages for a quick panel and notification panel. Samsung has already released the One UI 7 forum on the US community for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series, which suggests that the company can release the beta update anytime soon.
