Could Galaxy Z Fold 7 Be Samsung’s First Slimmest Foldable Phone Globally?
Samsung has debuted a new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition foldable phone with a significantly reduced crease on the display. The next-gen foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, is expected to be Samsung’s first slimmest foldable phone worldwide.
Samsung is one of the leading brands in the smartphone market but is struggling hard to maintain its dignity in the tablet market. Recently, it did a great job with the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition foldable with a negligible crease.
Since the slimmer Galaxy Z Fold SE is currently exclusive to China and Korea, the company could potentially globalize this slim form factor by introducing the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to a wider audience.
Samsung’s key aim behind introducing the Galaxy Z Fold SE is to compete with other brands’ thinner foldable phones, and successfully the new model is slim, lightweight, and better-specced than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Noticeably, the Galaxy Z Fold SE has been a huge success in Korean and Chinese markets as it sold out rapidly despite limited production. Even if it had been launched globally, potentially it would have seen high demand due to its impressive features and negligible crease.
Meanwhile, a well-reliable tipster, Ice Universe, on X shared a couple of videos showcasing the Galaxy Z Fold SE’s inner folding display and compared it to the other brands’ foldable phones, such as the Oppo Find N3 and the OnePlus Open.
However, Samsung successfully introduced a thinner foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold SE, but it lacks a digitizer for the S Pen, maybe which is the successor of the reduced display crease. Samsung is constantly working on its foldable phones and already stands strong against thinner foldable devices. Now it’s expected that the company could offer similar enhancements and even more on the seventh-generation foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with S-Pen, next year.
If the expectation comes true, then the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be Samsung’s first slimmest phone worldwide since the Galaxy Z Fold SE is only available in Korea and China.
