Samsung Ends Beta Phase, Rolls Out Stable One UI 6 Watch for Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro

Finally! Samsung has ended a longer-running beta streak for older Galaxy smartwatches as well, as the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro (Bluetooth models) have started receiving the official and stable Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch update; however, it’s currently limited to beta testers only.

With respect to the official notice issued on the Samsung Community forum, beginning with the South Korean region, the company has started pushing the new yet highly awaited One UI 6 Watch version for the Bluetooth units of the Galaxy Watch 5 series, and with that the beta builds have ultimately come to an end.

Hence, the update will be directed to more eligible regions and for the Wi-Fi models in the near future. On the opposite side, the official notice clearly mentions that with the latest update, the beta updates have come to an end, and beta users can now install the continuous updates that will be released sequentially.

Furthermore, the One UI 6 Watch update has been released with the CXK1 version number while also integrating the October 2024 security patch that will eventually help users to have a more safe and secure experience.

To add more to it, the new Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch update even borrows some selective Galaxy AI features debuted with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra models that will improve the overall features and functionalities, including more personalized health insights and comprehensive energy scores, while also integrating key highlights like Sleep Apnea. 

Moreover, Samsung is eyeing combining customizations and connected Galaxy experiences for the smartwatch owners to offer a more smooth and seamless performance.
