Samsung recently launched its mid-range Galaxy A16 based on Android 14 smartphone with six years of long-lasting software support. Now the brand is actively working on the Galaxy A16’s very first major Android 15-based One UI 7 update, as spotted on the Geekbench database.

Samsung Galaxy A16 runs Android 14 out of the box, and Android 15 will be its first major OS update. The device has already made its reach on Geekbench; now again it is spotted on the Geekbech database running Android 15.

According to the Geekbench database, the Galaxy A16 running Android 15 scored 983 for single-core and 2137 for multi-core scores. These scores are being speculated by a post on X, shared by reliable tipster Tarun Vats. However, these scores are based on early testing builds, so the final version could be better than the current scores.

Recently, it was rumored that by the end of November, the company would start the One UI 7 beta program, but now it’s rumored that the beta program will start in the first week of next month. However, still, Samsung has not revealed an exact timeline for the beta release. The Galaxy S24 series is the first in the line to join the beta program.

Samsung has already announced that it has scheduled the stable One UI 7 version for next year. Noticeably, the Galaxy A16 is not eligible for the One UI 7 beta update but will receive the stable version next year.
