Samsung Electronics Reshuffles Leadership to Boost Semiconductor Business

Samsung Electronics is strategizing to strengthen its semiconductor business and drive future growth by announcing a new leadership reshuffle. 

Samsung chooses Young Hyun Jun to stand out as CEO to oversee the entire memory business and advanced technology. It announces two names: Jinman Han, who is appointed to lead the Foundry Business, and Seok Woo Nam, who is promoted to Chief Technology Officer of the Foundry Business, which is a newly created position. 

JH Han will look over a new committee that will be dedicated to strengthening and improving product quality across Samsung. Jinman Han was previously Executive Vice President and President of Device Solution America and has experience in DRAM, flash memory SSD development, and strategic marketing. 

Another name, Seok Woo Nam, who is an expert in semiconductor process development and manufacturing, is appointed to lead foundry technology. Hansung Ko, CEO of Samsung Bioepis, will dedicatedly work on acknowledging new growth opportunities in biotechnology. 

Apart from this, the company also announced a few other changes that include Yong Kwan Kim being elected as President of Management Strategy, Wonjin Lee will lead Global Marketing, and Hark Kyu Park will look into the Business Support TF. 

These new changes hinted at the new future growth of the company, which is to strengthen its semiconductor business.
