One UI 7.0 to Kill Samsung DeX App for Windows
Galaxy owners’ favorite, Samsung DeX, or Desktop Experience, is discontinuing PC on Windows OS from One UI 7. Samsung shared shocking news regarding its renowned application that seamlessly allows users to move their files across two devices.
Yes! According to Android Authority, the company officially informed via the UK website to all the Galaxy fans out there that from One UI 7, the DeX for PC on Windows OS will be discontinued; however, it seems like DeX will be no more supportive on Windows, while the users have a backup option to connect their mobile phones to their PC.
Alternatively, Samsung further clarified that customers can use an interesting Link to Windows feature to connect their smartphones and PCs. Although the functionality is quite similar to the Samsung DeX, the Link to Windows will also offer an impressive user experience.
The key highlight is Samsung is only discontinuing the Windows app and not the entire DeX itself. At the same time, to have an innovative yet advanced user experience on your phone’s screen by connecting it to the PC via a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
Not only the Samsung DeX for Windows, the company is also ending support for some other features that include third-party edge panels.
Moreover, while Samsung’s One UI 7 version is still a mysterious factor, several leaks and rumors up until now hint as to what the company could bring alongside the version. Also, Samsung is planning to build a seamless UX and UI for the Galaxy audience, while it will be interesting to see how the company would implement further changes to the forthcoming One UI 7 version, at least for the sake sake.
