Finally, Samsung introduced one of the most demanding features, the “Vertical app drawer, with One UI 7 based on Android 15.
Samsung Galaxy users were demanding the vertical app drawer, and finally, the brand has offered it with the latest update. However, there’s a twist, as you can switch between vertical and horizontal layouts tied to how the applications are sorted.
With One UI 7, Samsung lets you choose the app drawer as vertical or horizontal as per your choice. The update offers a flexible app drawer layout. If the applications are sorted alphabetically, the app drawer defaults to a vertical layout.
Switching Between Vertical and Horizontal App Drawer Layouts in One UI 7.0
The app drawer uses a vertical layout when sorted alphabetically and while using the custom sort option to manually arrange applications. You can easily switch between the vertical and horizontal app drawers by navigating a few steps. Tap on the three dot button placed at the bottom right corner next to the search bar> Click on the Sort option> Select custom order or alphabetical order to get the desired layout.

If you choose a horizontal layout, you can experience that a few of the app drawer pages have quite a bit of blank space. But you can fix that by clicking the button placed near the search bar and choosing the Clean up pages option.
