Samsung may introduce Pixel-inspired Audio Eraser feature in Galaxy lineup; Reports
Samsung unlocks the potential of the most innovative mobile AI platform with One UI 7. The latest Android 15-based One UI 7 beta is currently going live for the flagship S24 lineup in different parts of the world. The beta update, of course, packs various impressive visual changes, showcasing a glimpse of future enhancements. Recently, a new leak suggests that Samsung might bring Audio Eraser functionality in future.
The Audio Eraser feature (present in recent Google Pixels) allows users to effortlessly erase all the background distracting sounds from a video. To which, Ice Universe’s report on Weibo claims that Samsung seems to be working on similar functionality and is planning to offer its own Audio Eraser tool for the Galaxy audience.
The tipster further mentions that the feature is arriving in the upcoming One UI 7 version while also sharing a screenshot that is enough to predict the commencement.
On the opposite side, it’s also mentioned in the screenshot that the feature will be significantly able to eliminate distracting noises from videos by adjusting the volume of voices, wind and other relevant sounds, with four different sliders corresponding to voices, crowd, wind, and music noises. Also, it’s yet to clear that Samsung will implement the changes in the final Audio Eraser version.
At the same time, with a lot of impressive features in Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite, the Audio Eraser will be a useful and impactful addition. However, it is not clear whether the company is preparing to introduce this feature to the upcoming flagships, the Galaxy S25 series, or if something interesting isplanned for the future.
