Samsung is all set to start its new year with its all-new Galaxy S25 series devices, which are reportedly to launch in January in a dedicated Galaxy Unpacked event. Since we are near the Galaxy Unpacked event, there is enough information about the flagship devices circulating in the form of rumors. Now a new report claims that Samsung could introduce the devices with a starting variant of 12GB + 256GB.

Samsung Sets 12GB RAM as the Base Model for Galaxy S25 Series

For context, Samsung has introduced the three storage variants of the vanilla version of the Galaxy S24: 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 8GB + 512GB. But if the new reports are accurate, then with the Galaxy S25 base variant, we will not get the 8GB + 128GB storage variant. Instead, Samsung will introduce the 12GB+ as the new standard for the devices.

According to Abhishek Yadav on X, Samsung’s upcoming flagship series base and Plus variants will not be available with an 8GB RAM variant. However, if Samsung brings the 12 GB as the standard one, it may also bring the upgrade option as the 16 GB RAM version.

Earlier, we also covered the leak of the 16GB variant with 1TB storage, but it was applicable to the ultra variant. While for the base and plus variant, the company could bring the larger storage options with the 12GB RAM.
