One UI 7 Beta 2 Causes Battery Drain Issue, Samsung Promises Quick Fix

Samsung rolled out the One UI 7 Beta 2 in particular regions to the Galaxy S24 series; however, the beta users are reporting the battery drainage issue right after upgrading the device to the second beta version.

Samsung offers several fixes with the One UI 7 beta 2 update, but unfortunately, it includes battery issues. However, battery issues with any new update are not a major issue, since it takes a little time to optimize your device usage pattern.

The One UI 7 beta users reported that before upgrading their device to the second beta, it ran at least nine hours, and now it only breathes up to six hours. It’s almost three hours down.  Regarding the same battery issue, a user in the community reported that their battery consumption has nearly doubled after updating to One UI 7.0 Beta 2.

Meanwhile, another user has said that with the battery draining issues, it has also noticed a significant performance drop. He claims that after using the One UI 7 beta on the Galaxy S24 devices, it has noticed heavy battery consumption, which makes device battery backup decrease.  Along with this, some users also claimed about the overheating issues, which obviously indicates the poor software optimizations for the devices.

Noticeably, this battery consumption will no longer last since Samsung has already acknowledged these battery issues. A Beta Moderator has asked beta users to share their experiences regarding issues and problems to report the issue through the Samsung Member application.

Since the company acknowledged the issue, it is expected that soon it will release a fix with the coming beta update to enhance the battery life. It has already been reported that Samsung will release the One UI 7 Beta 3 on 23 December.
