Since the rumors appeared on the internet, Samsung users have been waiting for a long time for the satellite emergency feature on their devices. It is worth noticing there are several rumors that appeared before the launch of the Galaxy S24, which claimed the satellite feature should be available for the flagship device, but it hasn’t happened till now.

However, the latest reports claim that the feature has started appearing on Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 devices in the USA.

According to the details, some Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 users on T-Mobile networks have spotted (Via – SamMobile) the satellite messaging feature in the USA. The feature is named as “Satellite Networks.”.

The feature seems to be in the testing phase under the “T-Mobile Starlink” service. The service was announced back in August 2022 and finally started beta testing. As it is part of beta testing, it is expected to be available for limited users, and to join it you can apply here.

If you are also using the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy Z Fold 6 on the T-Mobile network, then you can now check the Satellite n networks option under the connection menu via system settings. According to the details that emerged via screenshots, the phone may take a longer time to send and receive text messages via the satellite system. The delay can also depend on the weather conditions, which can affect the satellite connection.

As far as the expandability is concerned, Starlink is partnered with more carriers, including Optus, Rogers, Entel, Kiddi, One NZ, and Salt, to provide the service in different countries, including Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, and Switzerland, respectively. It is worth noticing that the users are claiming that the feature is starting to appear after the December 2024 security.
