One UI 7 Beta 3 Brings Changes to Now Bar’s Live Notification Features

Samsung’s innovations in the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 skin are commendable, with the audience already starting to notice plenty of useful features and changes. While the One UI 7 beta 3 was delivered yesterday for the Galaxy S24 series users, people noticed that Samsung has degraded (removed) certain options from its Now Bar.
One UI 7 Beta 3 Removes Certain Activities from Now Bar Live Notifications
A unique dynamic island, Now Bar, that is substantially designed to display certain key information from the apps at a glance; Samsung removed some items that are supported in the Now Bar’s Live Notifications, leaving only a few functions to access with the One UI 7 beta 3 update.

Previously, the Now Bar’s Live Notifications supported Voice Recorder, Health, Google Maps, Samsung Notes, Bixby, Clock, Interpreter, Emergency Sharing, Media Player, and Current Mode, while the activities now only consist of Interpreter, Clock, and Emergency Sharing within the Live Notifications section; the rest have vanished from the Now Bar. However, they are still working, but users can’t disable them entirely.

Since Now Bar’s Live Notifications are designed to appear on the Lock Screen, on the Status Bar, and at the top of the Notification panel, Samsung defines this Now Bar change as an “intentional refinement.” Therefore, the Galaxy users will be able to see more features of Now Bar once the official One UI 7 version is released due to certain ongoing improvements.
While the One UI 7 is still running in beta, Samsung could be working on reverting the missing activities and functionalities in the Now Bar and also improve them for the stable One UI 7 software that’s getting ready to arrive alongside Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S25 series by the end of this month.
