Users have now more control over managing their health data generated by healthcare providers across India, transforming the way individuals take charge of their health records.

Regarding this new initiative, Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, Samsung Research Institute, Nodia, mentioned that the introduction of the Health Records feature in India within the Samsung Health app aims to make the app facilitate convenient access to digital health records, allowing users to securely share their data with healthcare providers.

Samsung’s R&D, UX Design, and Consumer Experience teams and Eka Care collaborated to develop a Health Records feature. It helps users register for an ABHA account directly within the Samsung Health app using their Aadhaar number or mobile number.

This integration permits users to check their comprehensive medical history effortlessly within a few steps, such as prescriptions, lab results, hospital visits, and more, all securely linked to their unique ABHA IDs. Noticeably, during OPD visits at ABDM-compliant hospitals and clinics, you can scan the QR code through the Samsung Health app to get a virtual queue token and prevent wait times.
