Samsung Keeps Gorilla Armor 2 Exclusive to S25 Ultra, Skipping S25 and S25+

Finally, Samsung officially launched one of the most awaited Galaxy S25 series, and as expected, it brings impressive specifications, decent design, and features. The Ultra variant of the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, features a Corning Gorilla Armor 2 display, delivering an amazing visual experience.
The lineup includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and running Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Gets Gorilla Armor 2 Display Protection
The Galaxy S25 Ultra features the industry’s first anti-reflective glass ceramic display, Corning Gorilla Armor 2, which is claimed to deliver higher resistance and better anti-reflective properties.
Noticeably, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ lacked the Gorilla Armor 2 display protection as they feature the same display as their predecessors: Gorilla Glass Victus 2 at the front and back.
The Victus 2 is the latest high-end display glass introduced by Corning but excludes specialized properties like Gorilla Armor and Armor 2. It delivers efficient display protection but lacks the anti-reflective coating that is available on the Gorilla Armor.
The anti-reflective displays are currently exclusive to the Ultra variants of the Galaxy S lineup, and the base and plus models still lack the anti-reflective display. The Galaxy S25 series is already available for pre-orders and will go on sale on 7 February.
