As anticipated, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series brings several upgrades, innovations, and new features, including ProScaler to enhance display capabilities as compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 lineup, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, powered with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite that makes it smartphone compatible with delivering a performance boost of 40% in NPU, 37% in CPU, and 30% in GPU compared to the previous generation.
Samsung introduced ProScaler to enhance the visual experience
Samsung introduced a new visual-enhancing feature, ‘ProScaler,’ that aims to boost the visuality and image scaling quality.
Noticeably, the ‘ProScaler’ feature is only compatible with the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is an advanced, efficient AI image processing feature that achieves a 40% upgrade in display image scaling quality while incorporating custom technology with an in-house mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) embedded within the chipset using Galaxy IP to deliver upgraded display power efficiency.
The ProScaler will enhance the image quality, which can be enhanced up to QHD+ based on the screen resolution setting of the device.
However, Samsung already offered three options, including HD+, FHD+, and QHD+, to enhance the image quality similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but the QHD+ consumes a heavy battery. Now the new feature ProScaler will enable greater display power efficiency.
Note: ProScaler feature is supported on Galaxy S25+ and Ultra models. Image quality can be enhanced up to QHD+, depending on the screen resolution setting of the device.
