Samsung is looking forward to wrapping up its January 2025 security update as the Galaxy devices progressively get the patch in different parts of the world. Meanwhile, focusing on the A series, the Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A15 units have started receiving the security update in the US.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A15 smartphone owners have been spotted getting the January 2025 security update in the US, which is available for both the carrier-locked and unlocked units. It’s expected to expand to more regions gradually.

Specifically, the January patch for the carrier-locked Galaxy A14 comes with the A146USQSADXL1 version number, while the carrier-unlocked units can be recognized with the A146U1UESCDXL2 build number.

Alternatively, the Galaxy A15 5G is also getting the same update and can be identified with the A156USQS5BYA3 version number for the carrier-locked devices, while on the other hand, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy A15 has the A156U1UES5BYA3 version number.

Meanwhile, the software update of the January month is merely a security and bug-fixing patch that primarily focuses on improving overall security by integrating fixes by both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities addressed in the previous version in order to offer a more safe and secure experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.

Apart from this, the update, however, doesn’t list any major features or changes; it significantly adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, brings performance optimizations, applies all the latest security patches, and offers more improved features that enable users to have a more smooth, stable, and optimized experience and functionality.
