Samsung Wallet Expands Support for Volvo and Polestar Digital Car Keys

Since the convenience and security of Samsung Digital Keys have combined with Samsung Wallet, the company is now looking forward to expanding the digital keys support for the Volvo and Polestar vehicles after adding Audi cars to the list back in November 2024.

Samsung Wallet’s functionality gets more enhanced as it’s now integrated with Samsung Digital Keys support, also expanding the support to Volvo and Polestar car owners.

Substantially, Samsung Digital Keys allows users to lock and unlock or even start their cars, while also letting them open the trunk by using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) without the need to take the physical keys out of their pockets, directly from their Galaxy smartphones.

Alternatively, these keys offer a more precise functionality and protection against unauthorized access as the keys are powered with strict EAL6+ security standards.

Also, the key highlight of Samsung Digital Keys is that in any case, if the user’s phone gets lost or stolen and contains keys, then Volvo, Polestar, Audi, and all the supported car owners will easily be able to lock or delete their digital key using Samsung Find, while on the other hand, Samsung Wallet will ensure the privacy and security of the user’s car by shielding it with a biometric or PIN-based authentication.

While Samsung Digital Keys plays a crucial role in providing an effortless experience, Samsung is aiming for a vision that will make the car owners’ experience more convenient and secure on an everyday basis, while the partnership with Volvo and Polestar is going to be a next major step towards this commitment.
