Samsung Galaxy S25 is getting a massive upgrade on the lock screen, as its Now Bar is getting Gemini Live straight to your lock screen.
Samsung has massively integrated the Gemini with the Galaxy S25 series and also introduced it as a default voice assistant over Bixby to enhance user experience.
Now the devices are getting even deeper Gemini integration. Reportedly, the newly introduced Now Bar feature with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 is getting Gemini Live’s support.
This new support will be convenient for users as they will be able to see Gemini Live’s status and pause or resume conversations directly from the lock screen. A random user @TechA7mad on X shared a post revealing that he spotted the feature on his Galaxy S25 Ultra running Google app version 16.6.28.ve.arm64. The user also shared a few screenshots in which the Now Bar is displaying Gemini Live’s status, indicating whether it’s actively listening or on hold.
Although it is not yet clear whether this new integration between the two services is widespread, its presence on consumer devices could indicate a fairly broad release phase. It remains to see whether the company will expand this integration on other older Galaxy devices that are eligible for the One UI 7.
