Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 spotted running One UI 8 on Geekbench

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has now been spotted running One UI 8 on Geekbench.

The Korean tech giant is looking forward to debuting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in early second of this year. Alongside these two devices, the company is also expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE

Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been spotted online on Geekbench running with Android 16-based One UI 8.0, which means that the device will run the latest software iteration out of the box.

A tipster, Tarun Vats, on X, shared a post revealing that Samsung’s upcoming device with the model number SM-F966U stands for Galaxy Z Fold 7, made its existence known on Geekbench and scored 18143.

According to the listing, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm processor with a motherboard codenamed ‘sun,’ which stands for the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and it will have 12GB of RAM. The prime CPU cores are running at a higher clock as compared to the standard version of the chipset, which hints that it is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.

Currently, the launch date of the device has yet to be clear, but it’s highly anticipated that the company will hold the Galaxy Unpacked event sometime in July to announce the next-generation foldable phones.
