Samsung reveals its future vision for mobile AI via Q&A round

Samsung is actively working on expanding its ways in the AI technology, and it has revealed its vision for the future of mobile AI in a Q&A round.
The company initially introduced the Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24 series last year. Now, the newly launched Galaxy S25 series has expanded the Galaxy AI suite by adding more innovative features. Carl Nordenberg, head of Samsung MX for Southeast Asia and Oceania, revealed that the company has a clear vision for the future of mobile AI, for which it is dedicatedly looking forward to key goals and future expectations.
Carl also addressed consumers’ priorities while choosing a new smartphone nowadays in the market, and also mentioned five key aspects, which are as follows –
- Advanced camera features
- Integrated AI capabilities
- Improved durability
- Long-lasting battery
- High-performance processing for AI and gaming
The Korean tech giant believes the future of phone AI is about getting to know you; for instance, how you use your device to offer you truly efficient features, and suggests more functionalities according to your priorities. Currently, the Galaxy S25’s Now Brief features offer personalised tips throughout the day.
The company also revealed its future vision regarding boosting the camera experience with AI, according to which it is not looking forward to using AI to significantly change the experience of taking photos and videos. The executive stated, “Take features like Object Eraser, Best Face, and Audio Eraser— these are AI-enabled innovations that don’t interfere with how you capture the moment, but they give you unprecedented control over the final image or video from your fingertips.”
The executive also mentioned a few concerns regarding privacy in the age of AI, hinting at the company’s focus on transparency and user control. Samsung is focusing on being clear about data collection and use, providing users more convenient and efficient options to disable cloud processing for AI features if they prioritize privacy. Inshot, the company conceives that the future of mobile AI will be distinguished by multimodal capabilities, enabling AI platforms and services to steer multiple input types and integrate real-time features.
